About film making
During the work as a female professional choreographer, but also through my passion of photography my interest in Videowork and Film was aroused. I started by working with camera and editing and created the scene design for my pieces and produced short films and self edited clips.
As a film director, one is not only responsible for the visual implementation of ideas and scripts, it is also about constantly exploring the depth of a character and always being a step ahead, next to being a coach and a contact person for actors/actresses and contributors. It is the combination of psychology analyses and artistic work, that excites me and keeps me curious.
Responsibility, Teamwork, Stress Resistance, Creativity, Patience, Meticulousness, Imagination and Willpower, all these are important requirements for a good director.
